Turn old into new!

Every year in autumn, the apprentices in their 3rd year of training are given a major project at MÜLLER. It is intended to promote their planning, problem-solving and teamwork skills and also to demonstrate the complexity of a project.

This year, the task was to restore a suction trailer from 1981 and make it functional.

The trainees Niklas Weber, Malte Spiering, Joshua Richert and Matthias Plat, four of a total of 14 trainees at MÜLLER Uwmelttechnik, took on the task. And this much can be said, it was not exactly made easy for the four, who are completing their training as metalworkers in commercial vehicle construction.

They had a variety of tasks: from priming, filling and assembling to costing for the project. The latter was a completely new experience for the apprentices, as they do not come into contact with it in their everyday working life. Furthermore, they also had to deal with problems, such as the omnipresent issue of Corona and a nasty surprise in the container...
