IFAT 2018 in Munich: For the MÜLLER team, that meant five days of intensive discussions in good spirit with many visitors including a large international contingent. During the presentation of the vehicles, MÜLLER focused on the increasing digitisation for liquid-waste disposal vehicles and innovative boom systems that greatly reduces operator workload and boosts efficiency.

For MÜLLER, the customer is clearly the centre of attention. With the products, new developments and service offers presented in Munich, MÜLLER aims to offer customers precisely the solution that best suits their specific requirements. MÜLLER offers nothing off-the-peg, but only individual solutions in serial production. For the development of the MU-COCKPIT, MÜLLER was awarded the VAK Innovation Prize 2018 in the category “Modules/Components/Control technology”. MU-COCKPIT is an electronic operating terminal for modern sewer cleaning vehicles. With this ground-breaking development, MÜLLER has succeeded in digitising their products in line with their customers’ business processes.

Multiple daily presentations of MU-COCKPIT were held in a specially designed demonstration area and created excitement among international trade visitors. Dirk Konrad Beckmann, responsible for advising on all aspects of MU-COCKPIT, says: "We are extremely satisfied with the way the demonstrations went and the interest shown in MU-COCKPIT by the specialists. It is becoming more and more apparent that data processing for canal cleaning vehicles is of prime importance and that operators increasingly perceive data as a raw material that will make their work much more effective and lucrative."

The MÜLLER team has been developing new boom systems for their own vehicles for several years. The HELICOPTER is already well-established in the market and is gaining international popularity due to its extremely large operating range around the vehicle.

An especially noteworthy new product presented by MÜLLER is the FRONTLINER boom system, with which the successful Schwalenberg company has once again proven its innovative strength and technical leadership in its industry sector. The FRONTLINER is suitable for handling larger suction depths or guiding suction and rinsing hoses, whereby the driver is protected from passing traffic and aerosol pollution through a very flexible working routine. Its versatility and exceptional efficiency are, among other features, due to its swivel radius of up to 200°, its telescopic capability of up to 3 metres and a working radius of up to 5.6 metres beside the vehicle. The tandem version of the FRONTLINER is equipped as standard with the proven MÜLLER suction hose cassette, which has been optimised in terms of flow. This new boom concept is of course also available with a horizontal suction hose reel.

The national and international visitors acknowledged our successful presentation in the fair’s outdoor area with a very high visitor count. “It was the high proportion of participating international specialists that really made our product presentation stand out. It’s always the people that make the difference”, said our managing partners, Dr. Volkwin Müller und Dipl.-Wirt.-Ing. Wolfgang G. Müller, in appreciation of the extremely positive response to our fair stand.

The MÜLLER team’s next German exhibition appearance will be at RO-KA-TECH 2019 from 08.05. to 10.05.2019 in Kassel. After the fair is before the fair!
