MÜLLER Umwelttechnik named TOP 100-Innovator 2026
Schieder-Schwalenberg, 1 June 2026 – Founded in 1951, MÜLLER Umwelttechnik GmbH & Co. KG is one of the most innovative companies in the German SME sector and has been awarded the prestigious TOP 100 seal for 2026. The honour comes in the year of the company’s 75th anniversary and underscores the family-owned business’s role as a forward-looking technology driver in the waste management and environmental sector.
The TOP 100 innovation competition annually recognises SMEs that impress with above-average innovation management and sustainable innovation success. The award is not given for a single product, but for the ability to think about innovation systematically and embed it across all areas of the business. The competition’s patron is former Federal President Christian Wulff, who will personally present the awards to this year’s winners in the summer at the German SME Summit.
MÜLLER Umwelttechnik has been regarded for decades as a specialist supplier of sewer cleaning trucks, services and accessories for vacuum and jetting trucks, as well as pipe and sewer blocking devices and leak testing systems. The third-generation family-run business has repeatedly set new standards in efficiency, ergonomics and occupational safety in sewer cleaning with solutions such as the CANALMASTER with its 360-degree HELICOPTER hose boom system, the FRONTLINER and the innovative MU-COCKPIT control system. To mark its 75th anniversary, MÜLLER is continuing on its growth trajectory and investing significantly in additional production capacity, the expansion of its logistics operations and its own software solutions – whilst simultaneously creating new jobs in the East Westphalia-Lippe region.
This makes MÜLLER Umwelttechnik one of the few industrial companies in East Westphalia-Lippe to be countering the current economic and geopolitical uncertainties with proactive investment. The company is not only strengthening its headquarters but also further expanding its international competitiveness. For customers, local authorities and waste management companies, this means even greater delivery reliability, a wider variety of vehicle and system options, and additional digital services throughout the entire lifecycle of the technology deployed.
