The District Administrator of the Lippe district, Dr. Axel Lehmann, visited MÜLLER on 06.04.2023. With him "in the luggage" was Uwe Gotzeina, head of the district economic development of the district Lippe. Both were welcomed by the management, the works council and the personnel management as well as by the former employee and retiree Heinz Verbic, who always maintains close contact with the district administrator. MÜLLER was looking forward to a reunion with Dr. Lehmann, who had already visited the company before his time as District Administrator.

One of the items on the agenda for the visit was a discussion of funding opportunities for various areas of the company. The focus was on subsidies for expansion options for the production halls, for a public electric charging station at MÜLLER, for occupational health and safety measures and for company health management. Uwe Gotzeina is the direct and unbureaucratic contact person for companies in Lippe when it comes to exploring the relevant funding opportunities.

Dr. Lehmann was also very interested to learn about strategies in personnel development and retention at MÜLLER with a focus on training and further education. Especially in times of social, political, economic or even technical changes (e.g. alternative drives in the commercial vehicle sector), this topic takes on decisive importance for the success of a family business. 

But also the connection of the public transport in the rural region as well as the reduction of bureaucracy in the administration or the practical relevance of some authorities were discussed, especially since these aspects are in need of improvement from the company's point of view.

In a concluding tour of the company's production facilities, the delegation was able to learn about the technical development of the vehicles as well as about construction measures completed to date and plans for the future.
