It is with great sadness that we have learned of the death of a person who shaped the wastewater sector like no other.

On 11 August 2023, Mr. Wolfgang Wutschig passed away at the age of 89. He was always in the front line and fought until the end. 

The industry owes him a lot. As Managing Director and long-standing member of the Board of Directors, Wolfgang Wutschig set the course for the Association of Pipe and Sewer Technology Companies (VDRK), which today has developed into an indispensable partner for the industry. Together with Wolfgang Müller sen. and many other important colleagues, he laid the foundation for a training profession for pipe, sewer and industrial services, so that today skilled workers and master craftsmen can be successfully trained.

We will remember Wolfgang Wutschig as a committed leader in the wastewater sector and as an important source of inspiration.
